Ilhan Omar's Washington home around six a.m. Monday, and the Department of Justice says that search sat on a judicially authorized warrant in an ongoing federal criminal investigation. Fox News put the clock at around six a.m., with HSI and DHS leading and agents in HSI jackets outside the house. A DOJ spokesperson told Fox and the Guardian the same core line: HSI executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice, and the action is part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation. Two sources close to the case told Fox the paperwork question runs through documents her late father filled out when she was a child. That theory is theirs, not a sentence in the DOJ statement. No charges have been filed. This is not the August town-hall letter, and it is not the Minneapolis police search at the apartment her son shares. Those are older, separate events. Tom Homan confirmed a criminal investigation in mid-September. Monday is the search warrant. The title asks who hunted, and who just got hunted. The truth is learned, never told.
